For this quality, superior adhesion strength and washing resistance are the two priority parameters required in lamination processes.Lamination types in textile are as follows;Flame lamination: It is made by making use of the adhesion property of polyurethane sponge by applying flame.Film lamination: It is used to make the film between two fabrics sticky with heat.Melt Glue: Reactive PU, known as Hot Melt, is the adhesive that results from the reaction of the prepolymer with moisture after the first holding with rapid physical change.Solvent-based adhesive: Reactive PU dissolved in solvent (it is the solvent version of the Hot melt system) provides adhesion after the solvent is removed and the solid material reacts with moisture.Water-based adhesive: They are polymer materials containing water. This is the method in which the polymer components provide adhesion with the removal of water after the application. These polymers in water may be PVA, latex or polyurethane.Water-based adhesives such as flame lamination, PVA and latex do not provide sufficient product quality. Especially with PVA and Latex type applications, disposable products such as slippers are made. Both adhesion and washing resistance of these products are not very good. Therefore, disposable products are preferred in terms of cost. Solvent-based glue lamination and Hot Melt Lamination are the same in terms of polymer structure, both are reactive polyurethane. The difference between them is that the Hot Melt product does not contain solvent, so it is in solid form under normal conditions. Lamination process is done by melting at temperatures such as 110-160\u00b0C. Solvent-based glue lamination product is also reactive polyurethane, but it is in liquid form under normal conditions due to the solvent it contains and the lamination process is done without any heating process.The reactive groups in these structures react with the moisture in the air and complete the polymer structure, which indicates that the product is dry. Adhesion in Hot Melt products is not due to the drying of the product, but due to its structure that turns into solid.The product, which is in molten state due to temperature, cools down with environmental conditions when heat is not applied, which allows the product to pass from liquid form to solid form.
